What is New Leaders and Peer Support?
New Leaders and Peer Support is a program with two types of free support for people with intellectual disability.
These programs are:
- New Leaders – for people with intellectual disability age
18-35 who want to learn how to become leaders. - Peer Support – for people who want to be supported and support other people with intellectual disability.
- Self Advocacy – supports someone with intellectual disability to be able to speak up and represent themselves.

Information Day 2024
On April 30th, SAS Blacktown had an Information Day for our New Leaders and Peer Support programs.
The Information Day was a great way for SAS to:
– Invite the community to learn about New Leaders and Peer Support
– Talk about the services we run in Blacktown
– See artworks created by Peer Support clients for Colour My Way.
