Self Advocacy Sydney is an organisation that provides a FREE service and a place where people with intellectual disabilities go to meet, organise, work and train others on how to improve their quality of life.
Our goal is to help and support people with intellectual disabilities with their individual plans in becoming empowered, making their own decisions, speaking up for themselves and others, taking control of their own lives, creating awareness about disability issues and achieving maximum independence and quality of life.
Self Advocacy Sydney does this by tailoring individual training needs for each client and also provides the following training programs that we have developed: Self Advocacy and Speaking Up Skills, Disability Awareness, Communication, Anger Management, Assertiveness, Be Aware Not Scared, Budgeting, Rights, Responsibilities and Consequences, Running Meetings, Understanding The Standards, Different Relationships, Being Treated Fairly, Leadership, How to Co-operate with Others and much more...
Our target clients are people with an intellectual disability, of all ages, living within the Sydney area. If you would like to find out more about Self Advocacy Sydney please phone us or call our staff to arrange a client appointment.
